• W3 HTML Validator - Some SEO's disagree about whether perfectly valid code matters to the search engines. Our opinion: better code validation might help and certainly won't hurt.
• W3 CSS Validator - Check your CSS for validity while you're at it.
• Web Page Analyzer - Calculates page size, composition, download time. Suggests ways to speed up your pages.
• GIFbot by NetMechanic - Free image compression tool ... leaner images load faster. Sometimes you have to try the tool more than once. They ask for your email but I've never had any spam from them.
• Similar Page Checker - Check whether two pages are "too similar".
• Colorblind Page Filter - Check how your pages would appear to someone who is colorblind.
• Free Online HTML Editor - Handy tool if you know how to code by hand.
• Dead-Links.com - Online service to check your site for broken links.
• Xenu Link Sleuth Downloadable tool for checking links; Windows only, alas.
• TrafficEstimate.com - Just what the domain name says.
• Quantcast.com - Stats about your website's traffic.
